lol, one thing after another with your project. First the bent up IC now you have the wrong flywheel.

Why aren't you going to use a light weight flywheel?
Yeah I know man, but I guess it happens.

I was talked into not using a lightweight flywheel by the guy who made my clutch. He says it will rob torque...he convinced me.

lightweight flywheels kick ***. Unless your on slicks (and probably still then) youll still be able to light the tires up launching if you want which would be an excess of torque so...

Don't listen to people who say they will rob torque. If you are into rotary engines then you certainly aren't in it for the torque factor.

I was convinced on getting a heavier one, then I found one that bolts to a counterweight just like that VERY EXCELLENTLY PRICED over in Austrailia. Plus everyone was pestering me for wanting a heavier flywheel.

Check them out, my 12lb flywheel INCLUDING SHIPPING was under $300 Canadian Dollars, and this is for a brand spanking new one.

Dont fuss with the e-shaft nut, just get a lightweight and bolt it on as is, you will thank yourself in the end.

Suit RX-7 86-96 13B Turbo Gearboxes (Gen 2-3/ Series 4-6)

Since this bolts to the counterweight and not doesn't have a cast-in counterweight then there is no worries.

This particular one is for turbo motors, my less than $300 CDN quote was for an N/A flywheel. Price difference isn't too dramatic especially since you would pay with American currency.

Okay well if we're going to have this argument let's have it.

I'm going to keep the 6-puck I had made, so that's final...but as for the flywheel, I don't know.

The ACT Streetlite I was looking at is $225. The one I just bought and had lightened/resurfaced was $49.

On a side note, I can keep the pressure plate I have now (S4 TII), correct?

force = mass * acceleration, if you have a heavier mass you need more force to accelerate, than a lighter mass. so a lighter flywheel GIVES you torque because you have to use less power to accelerate the flywheel.

So lightweight flywheel or no lightweight flywheel?

So can I keep the pressure plate?

I know I sound like a complete moron, partly because I am, and because I want to be 100% certain of anything I do from here on...
