I'm in the preocess of planning out an RE rebuild.

Just curious which kit would be most inclusive of all the seals and parts I would be using. Are there any RE specific rebuild kits out there?

I think the OE 3-piece seals would work best for my app. as I am looking to build a street motor, with nice power in the 300-400 rwhp range.

Thanks,

-a

Go with the FD kit.

Mazda stopped using the 3 piece design and went solely with the 2 piece design.

not even close. the RE intake ports and runners are much bigger. you'll have to modify either kit you get. i personally would go for the FC kit just because they tend to be a bit cheaper. all the internal seals will be the same for FC or FD. are you looking to get a FULL rebuild kit with all the hard seals too or just the basic gasket kit?

FYI the RA apex seals are tried and true for both everyday driving and high performance motors

the fc intake gasket doesnt bolt up and the n390 gasket is only available in the usa thru mazda comp, whats your other option?
