I have been doing searches trying to understand the difference between different types of porting. I have a 12a, and if I rebuild it then I definetly want to do some amount of porting. I will be mostly a DD, but I would like to at least understand all the different types of porting and what they do. Can anyone point me to a thread or something that breaks it down?

Also, I saw a link to a paper awhile ago by a mazda engineer? explaining rotary engine function and dynamics, but now that I want to read it I can't find it. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

Thanks,

Confused Noob

Thats a good place to start. And the search function can tell you more than any one person can explain.
