Opinions On My Setup

i've been doing tons of searching and reading over the past few months but little posting, and now i've bought a few parts and am ready to get to cracking on my project.
this is my first rotary and i just wanted to ask some of you masters what you think about what i've come up with.
please don't pull the "efi pwns J00" or anything like that, i'd just prefer criticizm on my goals and what i'm putting into this. am i over/underbuilding? any tricks of the trade you'd care to share to make the build better?
i appreciate any serious help.
without further ado:
91 S5 turbo short block.
weber 48 dco w/ 1 piece manifold (no argueing, i know the pros/cons, i like carbies and never had the efi parts to begin with).
mazda 2mm 2pc. apex seals and standard mazda soft seals/ run of the mill rebuild parts.
fd corner seal springs.
fd oil pressure regulators (should i get both front and back or shim an adjustable front? many people do this, why not get both?)
ITO big bad SP with required precations (bezel, etc.)
All FD bearings: rotor and main (why is it that some run a 3 window inback and FD infront? why not FD all the way? i've heard they are better.)
Race clearance rotors
circlip rotors.
extra oil flow mod on the E-shaft.
underdrive pulleys.
FD alt.
Short style alum. radiator w/ FC oil cooler.
electric fan.
RB header.
I'm hoping to hit 200-220 RWHP at about 8500-9000rpm. it will be NA for a-time.
Also, after doing this, i will be focusing on other aspects of the car (suspension, paint, body, etc.) but eventually i plan to turbo it, blowthrough (sorry... i just like them) with possibly a gt35r. please give any feedback to anything extra i can do to make this a better motor or to better plan for forced induction.
so what do you think?

That sounds like a cool project. And carbs are totally appropriate for a first gen.
One suggestion: Turbo housings and irons, NA rotors. Higher compression pwns joo. Still turbo-able, and will be more fun while NA, and since blowthrough allows for an intercooler, you're all set.

well, as much as i like higher compression, i don't think i have the G's to buy another set of rotors, with all the other cash i'm dropping into it.
i'll just use the lower compression as an excuse to run more boost...

i'll just use the lower compression as an excuse to run more boost...

they should feel ok, maybe a little soft on response. on my gsl-se going from the 9.4 to 9.7 didnt make a difference, it just feels crisper

you'll notice it on the dyno, but it's hard to REALLY feel it in da butt.

j9fd3s, did you simply swap in some S5 rotors and counterweights and or NA flywheel? I'd imagine the lighter weight would do more for throttle response than the jump in compression ratio.

so that's all there is to it to build a moderately high-po NA engine at rather high rpm?
nothing i'm doing that's excessive or nothing left out?
