We been using the metal RX8 front cover gasket on S5 and earlier motors as well, works great! Like you, too chicken to run with no gasket.


i have one i just built sitting in the garage.... cheating...

we were in pauls storage yester day, and he's got a whole box of header flanges that look just like those...


Genus is correct. Built by Mistral to certify for aircraft use. Front cover is the only mounting surface.



Has pads for mounting additional pumps or magnetos. Propeller speed reduction unit has another pad to mount a prop governor and a belt pulley for an alternator.
