I'm getting ready to rebuild FD. That new motor has awsome R&D in it.The rotors are different and look lighter but would they work with our eccentric and the trichoid housng/

if anyone is in the know it would be great to use some.

I cant imagine when others start turbo-ing the new motor that gets 250 NA with four port exhaust!

I don't think they would work. The compression is higher than the FD's rotors since the 8 is an N/A..

I think I'm right on this...

While you are correct I beleive the whole concept of turbo is raising compression. Every psi converts over to compression pionts.Static compression ratio of 9.5:1 add 2lbs boost its now compression10.8, 6lbs boost now 13.4 compression. FYI 14lbs boost on static compression of 9.5:1(FD rotors) is now 18.5. I would guess you couldn't or need to boost as high with a higher compression. This is plagerizedfrom Turbo magzine Nov. 1994.

LOL...

I'm waiting to get my hands on one of them puppys my self.. I want to see the mod they did to the intake port to make it pass gas usage and emmission laws.. It a cylindrical piece of metal in the bowl of the port from what I could see in a documentary I saw on the rotary engine on japanese tv.. It keeps the air/fuel atomized at low rpm's when the air velocity in to the ports is slower...

I just thought about this.. the big mod with that engine will be P porting the exaust.. hahahahha

I have been trying to understand this also, why u can't use high compression rotors/pistons when boosting, since in essence boosting will up compression. Doesn't make sense to me.

the renisis looks like it has 6ports like the 84-91 na's too, oh and you can bridge port the exhausts

Man oh man ....the new one will be the bomb. but just think every time when some newbie

looks into you engine bay they will now see a FOUR pipe header!Ummmmm no there aint no pistons ya see its these triangles that go........

UNLESS ya Turbo heh,heh almost typed Thai Bo......

OK I think I will get into the four pipe rotary header business now.

Itn't the renisis that thing they were looking for in Star Trek? Those Japanese guys just cant quit.

Kanichi wa!!

I doubt if you will be able to bidge the exaust port, the brige will heat up red hot and warp or break and by by engine... I also dont' thing there is enough metal mass to allow you to open up the port runners very much with out weakening it to the point it will crack and eat H20...
