P-port I think, about 300 hp but most of the power is on the top end.

Jesus Padilla was trapping over 130mph @ 2150 lbs last year. Drag time calculator on Rotary Performance's site says you need 350 hp or more at the wheels to do that.

I heard his car was putting 360 rwhp down with a 13B PP. Thats an all out drag motor though, probably undrivable on the street.

If he's putting down that much hp with a NA 13b, that's around 400 at the crank. How in the hell did he accomplish this? I mean hell, he's making 70 more hp than the pp engine that racingbeat sells.

250 hp is a good number for a 13b with some type of bridge porting. anything else we are talking $9000 and up an engine.

Hmm, not really, the only added cost is the Porting and the throttlebodies and it doesnt cost that much..

I can buy a full assembled ready to run P-port motor with 10:1 rotors from Japan for about 5500+shipping.

The useful power limit of a p-port use to be around the 300-310 mark with carbs and distributor, at 8500-9000 rpm. Most of mazda's pre-87 race cars were this configuration and ouput.

With efi that has been stretched out to 340-360 thanks to more tuning flexibilty. I wouldnt say its changed the peak power spot, but its definetly widened the power curve alot. Setup right, street driving isnt a problem..
