so its a mixture between a half bridge and full bridge...



the darker the blue, the deeper the port is. the darkest blue (the colour in the stock port) is the only place where the bridge gos all the way through the housing. the lighter it gets, the more its just like a "scratch" kinda like a tube slide. so its sucking air from the very begining of the bridge but, very slightly. gradually pulling air through the "slide" until it reaches bridge port status where it basically is a little shorter than a half bridge.



this idea is for a 13b-rew with a t-60-1 turbo. and will be tuned with an apex-i FC by Pettit Racing.....



opinions, ideas???

What's the purpose? I mean, what are you trying to accomplish by doing it this way?

my uneducated opinion, is that you're getting all the overlap/port size without actually having the flow, so it would just act like a bridgeport without making the power.

im not that educated on porting either. im just thinking that in some way, letting more air in little by little would create a nice vacuum to suck in air faster and gradually build up.

In theory it seems like a good idea but I think that the differences are negligible. If I understand it correctly, the regular port would, in essence, create the same effect because the air would still flow over the path of least resistance; it's not like a liquid that would fall down and create any sort of turbulence in this case. The air probably doesn't realize the gap that's there that you're trying to correct because it never gets caught in there.

yes...the smooth power band is exctly what i built this idea around. this will be a street driven car. maybe a regular half bridge will do. i just am tired of seeing every rx7 with the same old bridge and half bridge port. and the ocassional PP. i wanna go to Austraila. you have to see some of there porting ideas and techniques.

Go with what is proven unless you have tons of money to experiment and replace side housings when you dont like the results.
