Which Motor Will Last Longer?
#1
lets say there are 2 rx7's with stock motors and stock turbos. one car is modded with all the (proper) bolt ons running 10psi and the other completely stock. if both were driven just as hard as the other..... shifting at the same rpms, going through the same driving conditions....
which motor will give up first? stock or bolted?

The engine with the bolt ons. Even though the boost is the same, It will flow more air. More air and HP genrally means lower age for rotaries.
good question, that is just my poinion and it could be wrong.

The higher the boost level the greater the actual force onthe moving parts of the motor. Thus higher wear on said parts over the given time period.
