Very pretty!
What intake manifold and primary fuel rail is that? EDIT: I'm guessing turbo since I don't have much experience around T2's... =p |
Good looking. Hope you didn't powder-coat the rotor housings.

Perhaps bake them while bolted together as an entire assembly? What temp are they baked at?

250f That's the exact same thing as overheating a motor. If that motor exhibits coolant-drinking symptoms from the get-go, then you'll know why Iceblue. The baking process done on ours a few years ago was 450*F for 30 minutes. Zap! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif B |
I think you missed something. I did not and do not powder coat them I painted them. They were only subdued to atmosphere temperatures.
A long personal friend has a powder coater I have not used it yet but he said he just puts little parts in the oven at 250F. ahh **** whatever I'm drunk |

Can't be a stock s4 intake runner, when looking down on it, the intake doesn't cover the primary fuel rail! His "upper intake manifold" (if it's not one piece) is sitting almost straight up and doesn't wrap over the engine. I am currently working on a custom design for my intake, which was why I was asking (I like to see what has been done to get ideas). I'm with him --^ (drunk too, not in person, but you could probably tell that otherwise I would have asked him in person any questions I had about it.... oh well, it's not important. but yes I'm kinda drunk =p) EDIT: P.S. s4 upper intake manifold had the runners seperated. the s5 were together and kinda weaved back and forth for the vdi. and are those oil injectors in the middle there? Those were supposed to be on the lower intake manifold. So it can't be a stock s4 intake runner unless it's turbo, in which case i still havn't seen them in person... |

If you ever want to powedercoat and not bake the parts you can cure the powder with Infrared Red spectrum lights as well.

My brother worked at a powdercoating place for a while. I'll ask him about infrared light curing.

You're talking about N/A Manifolds, all the Turbo manis are like that. |
