I've been trying to figure out how much clearance to leave for the inner sleeve to allow for thermal expansion. Here's the site for reference if you want to check my math: Properties of Metals Thermal - Engineers Edge

The think I need to know is how hot will the sleeve get?

For instance, if the sleeve gets 400F and its machined at 70F, then there is 330F temp change.

Since the expansion of aluminum is 1.31x10^-5 inch per degree F, it would expand 0.004323". BUT, if the sleeve is restrained by an outer sleeve, will it expand even more outward since it cant expand out?
