My question is do I need to use the Inj diffusers? Has anyone taken them out, and ran the inj without them? Reason i ask is because the injectors I have dont really sit on the diffusers the way they should. They dont seem to be the correct ones, as far as how it fits onto the diffuser. I bough the car like this with these injectors. When i was taking the motor apart, all the inj seals were ripped or pinched, and i'd rather not put it back with this current setup.

They will sit funny if you dont get the duffusers in right. I say use them. Its really pretty simple to get it right. You can buy o rings at the hardware store.

yeah I'd use them if possible, they aren't cheap to replace and once they've heated up a couple hundred times they get VERY brittle so treat them delicatley.

Gregory i would do whatever you can to keep them at least on the primary |
I heard idle is effected if they are not on the primary but many many people dont use them on the 2nds.

Going strictly with what I read - I remember RotaryResurrection has said he doesn't feel a difference with them OFF (I think for the Secondaries). Than again, I've heard of crappy Idle w/o them. My preference? Replace the hardened O-Rings and slip the Air Diffuser In place and be done with It.

I don't run injector diffusers in my car anymore, no noticable idle deficiencies because of them gone.
They were very brittle and crumbled in my hand. Glad it happened while I had the engine tore appart and rebuilding it. |
