Is it a good idea to "break the glaze" on the chrome when reusing rotor housings?

Default Is it a good idea to "break the glaze" on the chrome when reusing rotor housings?

I'm thinking about oil retention and apex seal break in. Is it wise to use fine grit sandpaper and gently sand the chrome?
