camel where the hell did that garage come from ??
The place came out of necessity. Because I am in the Air Force, and live in Air Force housing, I cannot do major repairs on my car in my driveway. Having a car torn down in your driveway equates to getting what is called a yard ticket. 3 yard tickets and you are thrown out of base housing, and have to move at your own expense. So taking the situation and my need to have at least 4 cars in complete shambles at any given time, and the need for a garage which does not exist in Air Force housing here, I got together with a few guys from work and opened my shop. On top of all of that, I needed a place to put my parts, they were everywhere in my house. Now all of my parts, all of my tools and all of my buddies have a place to go, and we all have a common thing we enjoy. Now I can do what I want to my car, when I want (Try pulling an engine at 2 am in your driveway and see what the neighbors think about 10 minutes of the impact going off) I am not getting wet, and I am not worried about being kicked out of housing. It gives me time to do things like this as well...
