Here are some pics of the build of the 1/2 bridge RE. We street ported the primary ports, opened up the exhaust ports with TII sleeves, and bridged the secondaries. The ports are GINORMOUS, LOL. Check it out.[attachment=29975:attachment][attachment=29976:attachment][attachment=29977:attachment][attachment=29978:attachment]

Sweet setup.

Looks pretty good, but I have a friends RE motor apart and we compared the secondary ports from his RE to the secondary ports from a T2 motor and they are both the same size. The only thing that make the RE ports look big, is the fact that lower intake manifold comes in on more of an angle.

I dont know about that, I can get three fingers all the way through the secondaries on the RE, and struggle to get two through the ports on the TII. They are a LOT bigger.

same port size as fd's, but the runners are taller. creates a venturi effect.

good for low end--i'd assume that's what it's all about since it went in the cosmo.

Ok, so are you talking about the port where the intake bolts up against? If you are, then yes, they do look bigger. But the actual port inside the motor looks to me, the same size as T2 ports

What did you use to clean up the runners and such? They look a little rough.

I cant wait to get my hands on a Cosmo block. But thets gonna have to wait a couple of months.

you want the primaries rough to add turbulence.

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/bsflag.gif This is the last inch of travel, Velocity is king at that point and turbulence is bad. These need to be smoothed out.

GMON 04-13-2005 12:36 PM

Not to mention that the injector is dead center in the port. No reason for a rough surface here.
