i understand, but as mentioned above it will cost you a lot to get it in good condition and even more to probably get it running. at first i was looking for a car like this and after realizing how much your gonna spend over time it may not be worth it (especially if you pay someone to do it). and you mentioned you might make it a daily driver (don't plan on that happening), if you do get it insurance won't be that bad on that car becuas eit will probably be liabilty and if something happens (stolen/accident) to that car your fucked. and resale value is to ****.

not at all trying to pursuade you into getting my car just answering you previous question aabout opinions on the car.

and what you should pay attention to is what is going on behind the dash (the pictures don't show that). check out underneath the car (place close attention the suspension-front). write down everything you think is wrong and call places and price the stuff.

hope i was helpful and did not appear to be a ******* of any knid.

just go on thepartstrader.com and buy a 93 7's rolling chassis (asking $3k, i figure he would take less if you offered it), pay $2400 for a reman engine, and you get to choose what tranny you want and then buy that, have it all installed in a nice clean un-burned chassis and you got a nice FD.

ooh, that might come in handy, how much are you looking to get for it? im going to see the car in a few hours, ill post how things go when i return. I saw that one FD chassis on the parts trader, but its all the way in Florida this ones only 45 mins from me. It would cost me like 600$ to ship that one.

i went to see the FD today...and it was alot more burned than i had expected. I didnt get to talk to the guy but pretty much everything that was plastic is toasted. I tried turning the main drive pulley and it didnt budge, i tried opening the TB, it didnt go. Theres plastic melted all over the turbos. Definatly needs a bit more work than i think i have the time/money/patience for. FC it is.

That FD would be a good V8 swap project. At least if the interior was not too fried.

you could also buy it and put a peripheral port in it . i've got some bridge plates that i'm putting one of my 1st gens this summer. if i had the extra money, i'd put it in there. i know that you can have goobles of power with a turbocharged powerplant (i have a FD in the rebuild/single conversion stage, so don't ask me what i'm smoking for wanting to put a PP in it, all i'm saying is it would be different to have the looks of a FD but N/A power).

by the way, http://www.winkys.com/jbutler/nokia.mpeg ****** hilarious!!!!
