Thumbs up

So i found this FD with a salvaged title not far from me, Its got a salvage title because of a engine fire. Heres some of the details:

Car is NOT running now. TWIN TURBO - 255 HP (180MHP speedometer and 7000 RMP redline), Red, auto, around 80K miles, burned front end (hood, bumper, underhood), good tires (except one), Loaded: power sunroof, power windows/locks, factory CD (with BOSE stereo), leather, driver's airbag, ABS brakes. The engine looks OK(the fire was on the top). Apprears to have original paint and no prior body damage. Needs a passenger door (got damaged by the tow truck) PA Salvage title.

The rest of the car is in nice shape, but i dont like the fact that its an auto, that would definatly get changed. It just seems like its a great deal and could be a fun project car, and its my duty as an enthusiast to save this poor FD. What kind of things do you think i can expect to have to replace mechanically with a car like this to get it running, i havent gone to see the car yet in person to see how bad it is and the guy doesnt seem like he knows a whole lot about it. So do you guys think i should go for it or just get a TII. I really dont mind not having a running car right away.

That's cheap, but the fact that it's auto would stop me.

i dont like the fact that its an auto either, and ive heard you can change it over to 5spd for around $1000-$1500. Plus i could sell the auto trans.

car is being sold without tb, uim and alternator. (parts can be had cheap from jesse lau (great ebay seller from japan) and also jt-imports.com

im sure your car is great, but this FD is 3G..not 13G ... i dont have that much cash at the moment. Im just looking for a fun, cheap project car where i can learn a bunch and have a bad *** car when im done. It would probably cost me a bunch to get the car to where i like it, but i think it would be good. I dont need this car everyday to be my daily driver, not yet at least so i think it would be ok, anyone think otherwise?

If it cost 3k exspect to spend another 10k to get it running and cleaned up after a fire.

I'd buy it and part it If I had 3k to spend, but I just bought another fd to part a month ago.
