Im building up my s5 TII motor. Street port, full exhuast, stage 3 BNR turbo, CAI, and some other goodies. I've heard to increase the PSI, with a modified engine. So today i ordered an FD oil pressure regulator, and got some webber #200 jets for the eccentric shaft to increase oil flow to the rotors. Then also I got some steel braided oil lines made. So I've been told that the FD oil pressure regulator is about 110 psi. This is a street car, and I want to know if the FC oil pump will die running so much more psi.

Will an FD oil pump interchangeable with the FC oil pump? If it is, buy an FD pump. If you need one used, PM me or Dragon as we have a few of them laying around the shop.

I ran a FD oil pressure regulator on my FC engine for about 3 years. There isn't an assload of difference between a S5 regulator and a FDregulator. I notice at idle it was about 2kgm Higher and response was faster.

As far as I know the Oil pump is the same on FC and FD.

The FC and FD oil pumps are different. A friend of mine found out the hard way.

A friend of mine had an FC oil pump in an FD motor. So I think they can be swapped.

somebody told me, i might need the FD front cover? but what does that really have to do with anything oil pump... in the RB catalog he looked them up and said the FC and FD pump 99% the same, except the FD pump has an extra oil passage for the extra load. With that info, I think that the pumps can probably be swapped right?
