I have used all types of ports since 1992 and the ones I pictured above simply work the best in my testing, be they run on Peripheral Port or on my Street Port (you can see pics). I have torque curves and actual peak engine speeds for tq and hp, also power per boost and its the reason I keep this style now. Funny enough I found a very old article showing A&L Mazda FD3S from 1997 and they ran pretty much 100% my exhaust porting style ! If I get a chance I will scan it for you all and post it up, the other interesting thing was the tq characteristic was replicated perfectly too. Sorry forgot about this thread, the straight edge increases the dynamic charge and when combined with street port and a beveled rotor you get the same Ve as a BP motor but without the draw backs https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.gif and its less sensitive to higher EMP/IMP ratio's. Never had a problem with them on any type of seal, the rotor is at its maximum swing angle anyway at that point and it has zero problem riding over that, on the intake side if you have a PP the seal it tilted over the other way (like a chisel) and it can develop some funny wear patterns, this does not occur on the exhaust port as the swing angle is the other way https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.gif and the seal is dragged over the port rather than into it. |
