Can anyone see any potential issues with block off the flow of coolant around the exhaust sleeve? Seems like pitting can be a problem in that area, and that area would significantly increase the temperatures of the cooalnt. As well, By filling that area of the water jacket, you would essentially keep more exhaust heat in the exhaust, which is ultimiately better for power.



Any problems?

but what about reliability? would having the little lip between the two ports eat away the corner seals? how is it for power? about like a bridge?

they did it to skirt the rules, its prolly worse for reliability, but you have sponsors right?

the answer i was seekin was more along the line of what RETed had posted..

the temp range the housing was seein with the sleeve actin as an insulator and considerin coolant heat transfer..

Yeah thats what I was imagining, but theyd have to but a down curviture where the finger is pointing so the seal wouldnt chip on it methinks. Now thats called pushing the rule to its limits
