Took apart my motor yesterday, and would like to share pics. The motor is a s4 13bt, streetported, and only 15k! 60 trim to4e, .96 a/r @ 29 psi, pump gas, and poor tuning killed it.

Some damage to the front rotor, looks like rectangle stamped in it, goes in a couple mm. It looks good to me, but would like other peoples opinions.

This apex is from the rear rotor, it is obviously fucked up. i think its kinda cool how it split in half tho.

this apex is also from the rear, it has a little chip in it, i'll probably replace it.

btw, my housings are in great condition, no scratches or anything, even the rear housing is good, despite the apex splitting in half.

and front apex seals are all in great condition, while rear is fucked up, wtf?

looks like it barely blew, you kinda got lucky. add some more fuel and maybe take a little timing away.

that beat up rotor looks like it might be still useable, but id look real quick to see if i couldnt find another one, s4 t2 wont be expensive.

cool, I still have another motor to take apart, i think it has stuck seals because it was giving me like 2 psi on the comp tester, so i'll see if the rotors are good.

If it didn't pinch the apex seal groove I would reuse it in my own motor...

You have mismatched apex seals in your engine. Looks like half atkins (those that cracked in half) and those that are stock. You can tell by looking at the end of the corner pieces of the apex seals. they're two different size.
