I clean them up on wire wheel all the time.
Sweet. Good to know. The wire wheel I'm using is beat to death.. so its really not very abrasive anymore... Maybe thats why it didn't scratch it....
IceBlue: How careful do I need to watch the edges and keep everything "sharp"? Interestingly enough, I couldn't find one post on this sort of information.... I guess now there is one.

Kuhnke, I haven't been here long but it seems all you do is spread misinformation... what's your deal? After your running without premix or oil squirters ideal, i'm sure your opinion means almost nothing to anyone here. Not trying to stir up drama, but for the most part No Pistons seems to have knowledgable people sharing information, while you are a dull tool in our shed of sharp tools. Now, maybe if you didn't ACT like you knew everything, and just asked for advice like I do, you wouldn't be so bad. Anyhow, enough of my ranting.

yooo u have 2 leave the rotor in the cleaner for a day, then watch all the carbon come off like magic, then scrub it off with a brush ,trust me !!!!
Did you read the part where I did that? No worky.
I measured an area with the thickest carbon buildup, on my dial indicator it was 1.6mm thick. Is that about normal? I would imagine thats why my parts engine was carbon locked. Its also why I'm not using those rotors. But, I always test a method before doing it on my good stuff. Just like my porting... I'll use a test set of irons first.

I really don't think I have any place like that around here....... What do you mean "engine shop" like a general auto mechanic?
Sounds awesome! I would love something like that...
Any other suggestions?
