the carbon deposits cause hot spots which is what creates the detonation / deiseling problem... it's not an increase in compression from the deposits AFAIK.

water injection removes all carbon deposits and keeps your engine, spark plugs and exhaust steam cleaned.

1. water? so just do thew same thing as in the guide above but just use water instead of transmision fluid?



2. how often should one do this with a 500hp engine?

YOU WILL KILL YOUR ENGINE IF YOU DO THAT, ITS CALLED HYDRO LOCK



Im talking about water injection, where you have a water pump inject water into your intake elbow and/or ic end tank at a particular boost level. Its main purpose is to prevent detonation by soaking up the intake charge. One of its side effects is that it steam cleans your engine. this works because it only comes on during boost and its a fine mist.



if you pour water in your car, it will never start again!!

Right, because that quantity of water will not compress like air.



That's why they inject a mist.

if u redline the engine on a regular (once or twice a day not every shift) basis u shouldnt have a problem with carbon buildup unless theres something in ur fuel lines or shitty oil

Actually you CAN pour water into your engine to clean the combustion chamber. Just do it in very small amounts. One trick was to use a cup of water and run a vacuum line from your intake manifold and into the cup so it takes up only a small amount. But hold the throttle open a little as the water is going in because it will bog. But the water will actually turn into steam mostly before it hits the combustion chamber so it is safer. Yea, grabing a vac line and letting it suck up some water is a good way to keep it clean. I have also heard of someone on the evil forum using carb cleaner instead of water. He said he just sprayed it straight into the intake Seems a little dangerous to me. So far I think he is the only one to try the carb cleaner, and to my knowledge he has had no problems with it.
