I plan on purchasing a few carbide burrs for port matching intake manifolds. I would also like to use them for porting housings. Should I buy separate burrs for aluminum when doing the manifolds or can I use the same type I would use on the cast iron housings?

Would the burrs for the housings be too abrasive and chew up the manifolds or would they simply cut much faster?

hell no, the ones for the cast plates will fill up with aluminum and you'll be kicking yourself in the *** trying to clean them. get material specific burrs -steel and aluminum (spaced out flutes so they won't clog up)
