BridgePort FD rx7 technical descussion
hi team , i have recently rebuilt and bridgeported a stock fd rx7. once it had been started we found it running very rich. i have heard of people getting away with running the standard computer. but in this case we are going to be buying an aftermarket computer, our reccomended computer is the apexi power fc. the question is, has anybody had experience with this computer or any other ecu's for this model????????? or any general experience with pushing the boundaries with modification and still retaining the stock ecu.
what i have found is they arent the most basic cars to play around with, and almost require there own technician for the stock engines.
you cant change to the bigger style rs model turbos without changine the whole engine setups due to the break bias sensors blah blah blah. i am no expert on rotarys.
cheers guys all feedback is appreciated

If you're going to run a piggyback, trying to keep the stock ecu, you're going to need a unit that can use alpha-n tuning for idle and low/part throttle then speed density for when you're in boost. I believe the Greddy E-Manage Ultimate will do this for you. Once you go Bridgeport, the stock ecu's maps are all wrong. It's kind of like trying to run a 16V engine with an ECU set up to run a 8V motor; sure it'll run, even somewhat decently, but it won't be right.
