Best 13b to carburate & make 200hp
Hi, I’m new to rotary engines and come from a vw background.
Im trying to build a 200hp carbureted engine. I have read the 13b would be the best bet and a later 89-91 s5 would be optimal. Since those engines spin faster and make 160 stock.
After buying a core s5 13b, I disassembled it and found the front and center iron are not usable. I called a Mazda builder and talked to him about building the one I have and he said the 6 port is more difficult to make an actual 200 hp engine. He said the rotors are good but I should change irons and use a rx8 crank.
Should I buy different irons and will all the other s5 engine parts fit to it (front cover, oil pumps/drives, gears and pan)
