UNFORTUNATELY, the quote came back at 146.00 EACH!!!! Which is ridiculous! I can get them if you want. Just another example of the technology exists, just too damn expensive

go find a company that isn't in the nuclear industry to make them. Nuclear is $$$ due to need for traceability and high QA standards. You don't need Nuclear QA on a rotary motor, you might not even need aerospace standards. Else find some place in taiwan to make them... probably 1/3 the cost of USA manufactuer.

hey banz....so the benifit of your seals is a little more protection from the seals corroding from heat stress or boost levels?

I recall the material had resilient properties but do the OE seals now go away do to heat & housing warpage then exposure to boost and combustion?

I know you spent some time getting these figured out. Next build up though.... cause it will be an all out job.

Thanks l8t

These have a couple of benefits:

1. The Silver Coating will "flow into surface irregularities to aid in sealing

2. Due to the Design of the ring, the higher the combustion pressure the tighter the seal

3. Heat cycling will not be an issue due to the INCONEL used in their construction

if you could reuse them once or twice you can justify the cost.

I have the rights to that size O-ring in that application. The MFG. Still owns the technology and the PATENT . You cant call them up and order that seal.

Think of it like Porshce wheel bearings. They have an NTN part number, but you cant order that bearing direct from NTN or their supplier. You have to buy it thru Porsche
