I've been trying to find out as much as possable about Apex/Corner/Side seal Springs?

I am aware that some of the Older Aftermarket Apex seal Springs have been blamed for Heavy Chatter marks and in some cases engine faliures.

I've been reading up on them for quite a while but what is the story with them? Is it True or a Folk tail?

If you where to buy a full aftermarket Overhaul kit would it come with The aftermarket Springs?

I'm intrested in what you guys think about them and if they have been examined after use?

Cheers..

[size=5]you can buy a good priced Rebuild kit from Rotary Aviation however they recommend that for turbo applications you use Mazda Oem springs. i believe when you buy atkins they come with mazda oem springs.

either way, just to be safe, use whatever apex seals you want but use mazda oem springs! currently my engine is using RA Seals with OEM MAzda Springs.-early batches of RA seals were known to have issues and before people realized NOT to use the springs with high boost turbo applications there were problems, they have ALL been resolved now. my engine is a 13b rew with stock twin turbos.-=
