Anyone Use A Full Bp Turbo?

I don't know if he posts around here, but IIRC there was a guy named Rob in Japan (sokudo) with a turboed full bridge in an FD. I think he was using a T51R Kai? Maybe a google search on that sokudo name would bring up something....

Alf (Soul Assassin) was making 620 rwhp @ 22 psi with a very similar setup (full BP, t51) on a red FC he used to drive.

There's videos of their cars floating around the RX-7 Club. The sound... wow! I need to find that video of Sokudo's showing a closeup of his turbo inlet while reving the engine

Advantages:
- awe inspiring power potential (up to around 950-1000 bhp)\
- faster turbo spool up (compared to 1/2 BP or Streetport on same setup)
- coolest sounding engine in town
- awe inspiring power!
Disadvantages:
- less "off-boost" power vs streetport
- more fuel consumption
- shorter lifespan and less reliable
- LOUD (some may argue that they like loud cars, but they are the ones who have not heard a bridgeported rotary with open exhaust before!)
- to make serious power you need to rev that much higher, so more wear and tear on components which need to be upgraded to allow this operation
I'm actually going to be building a full bridgeport S5 engine this fall. I'm planning a 9,500 redline, 20 psi max boost and looking for about 1 bar at or before 4,000 rpm. Not totally set on which turbocharger and size right now, but it seems to be coming down to the T66, T51 kai, TA45, GT40, GT42.
Any suggestions?

pros:
more torque from 2000-11,000rpm
sounds neat
25+ mpg on the freeway
cons:
does not do part throttle under 5000rpm
when you cut the water jacket engine life goes way down (12-18months, before it starts sucking water)
the car was NOT loud, it was using 2 loooong glas packs and 2 turbo mufflers, it was very reasonable
