I pulled apart a J-spec motor and when I took the turbo and exhaust manifold off, the exhaust ports were completly white! Inside the turbo manifold was completly white as well.

What would cause this? Lack of fuel? Too much boost?

Thanks

Bleach white or tan?

Does it chip off like a crust?

"Tan" is normal - it's deposits and additives from the gasoline.

If it's white, it's either too lean or slight coolant burning (or both).

It's not tan, it's really white! Just wondering what would have caused it, cause I've never seen one this bad before.
