6 Port NA planning Stage
#1
Alrighty well i'll start with an introduction. My name is Garrett and i live in Wisconsin. I am 18 years old and my 1989 mazda RX7 NA is my cage of choice and first rotary. My end goals with this car are...
1. Very responsive 350whp
2. Centering the weight
3. Reducing unsprung weight
Overall i'm after balanced performance!
In regards to the poll pick what you feel best and post with your choice of motor and port type for my needs.
My thaughts on the motor no matter what you guys suggest. Open to critisism
-ITB with plenum
-Shortest IC piping Possible
-Very balanced/light Rotating assembly including cluth and flywheel(possible 5" pending opinions on streetability)
Any thaugts are greatly appreciated!
Sincerley,
Garrett
PS. Any mods want to delete the thread in the FAQ section idk how i managed that

for 350whp its pretty simple.
use any turbo engine, build it to stock specs, with maybe a mild port. balance the rotating assembly, use a light flywheel. use the FD oil pressure regulator.
you need a larger turbo than stock, gt35 is good, 60-1 is good, el likes his t04e 57 with a big hotside
you need an aftermarket ecu, you can get a stocker to 350hp, but its not resonsive or safe.
intercooler's up to you, if you're really dying for short piping, do a v mount (they end up real simple) or we've tossed around the idea of using a water to air top mount...
it needs a 3" exhaust with straigh thru mufflers, a larger downpipe would be helpful but not needed.
stock ignition is fine, msd would be better.
run about 12-15psi of boost, and it should easily do 350+....

Alright that was pretty much what i had been looking at also. Is there any way i can dial the boost down to 250Hp for street/autocross but leave it at 350 for drift/open track? I just got done with my first ever autocross!!! Fast time was around a 41 in modded S2K With a few stock evos and an STI in the 42-43 range. I ended up with a 55 on my best run. All and all i learned that shitty tires yield dumptruck like understeer.
