Is that the exact porting you did on The white 2nd gen 6port that you showed us the picture of. How's the white car coming along, you said it had the stock computer right.

Damn, now that's what I call a port!

Tell me, is the cause of the rough idle the increased overlap, or just the sheer size of the ports?

Also, is that car driven daily?

That is the bridgeport that I made for the white FC. The Rx7 runs really strong for having little mods. Vosko has a video of us drag racing in the general discussion section. Yes he is still using the factory ecu.

Rough idle?? I love that idle https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png Increased overlap has an effect on the idle and low rpm power. But this engine is using the factory auxilary modified sleeves on the 5&6 ports to help low rpm power. Yes this Rx7 is a daily driver.

Most excellent!

Couple more questions: the bottom half of the port is always on - did you consider giving that part only a street port, and having the bridge port only on the auxiliarys? What effect would this have? I'd think then you'd have better low-rpm torque and fuel mileage, with the bridge available when the auxiliarys open - although obviously flow would be limited compared to the way it is now. Also what did you do with the centre housing?

Thanks!

J

What if i did this kind of porting Judge Ito. What else would i need to do. Give me some tips, I'm all the way over here in Florida, otherwise i'd pass by you're shop and just talk all about rx7's.
