I am running a 4" round magnaflow as a presilencer. It is working great. I am running a RB header, that muffler as a presilencer and the stock muffler for a 12a, and I do not get any loud pitch noises.

Perfect replacement for the very expensive RB silencers. They are about $50 online.

If the 4 rotor is too loud for the stret, we'll have to add some of those 4" round mufflers. Thanks.

The intake ports will be about 1 1/2" diameter. We picked up some GSL-SE intermediate plates. I made four long tension bolts out of some spares. Using four dead rotor housings and a set of 12A and 13B dowel pins for the mockup, I can now put it together and attempt to drop it into the GSL-SE as soon as we start work on this project. I've still got a few engines to build before that.

Making progress...

Anything new on the 12a project? I finally got all four rotors and will be sending them out on monday to have them checked and balanced so I can get the weights to Jeff Bruce.

What letters did the rotors have stamped on them? It's my understanding that if all four have the same letter, it's a good starting point.

I have been saving up for a 4 rotor for about a year now and I'm ready to start the project so I spoke to someone at Kiwi-re on Sunday about ordering their 4 rotor kit, which is basically all the "special parts" needed:

The 4 rotor kit has the following:-

1:- Eccentric Shaft

2:- Front counter weight

3:- Rear counter weight

4:- 2 x Centre plates

5:- 2 x Stationary gears (modified)

6:- 2 x Stationary gear carriers

7:- 2 x Stationary gear external oiling mods

8:- Rear main nut

9:- 2 x eccentric shaft end caps

This kit is built with all new parts and also uses genuine Mazda parts.

I was quoted 9500 NZ plus shipping and about a 6 week lead time. The only thing I'm stumbling on is PP housings, which cost about 1750 NZ each...which equals about 1100 us each. Granted they are new housings which arent cheap, but I dont know whether I can have good/used housings p ported state-side for less, and and who can do it

BTW, I was told that they built the one that is in the red FD in NZ

i think i'm gonna get a shorty 3-rotor shaft and match all the ports on the renesis side plates.

all side port renesis 3-rotor and then i'll add an aux. peripheral intake port later on down the road.

That would be really nice. Would it be the first renesis 3 rotor?

I think I'll try to pull the gas tank out of the GSL-SE today. Already got the mockup 23A in place. Gotta fab some motormounts next.
