I'm looking into building an spare engine for my car in the near future, and the RE is pretty available. I'll be rebuilding it anyways, I'm just wondering if they shared the Oil Press. Reg. from the REW, I would assume it does, and a new one is fairly inexpensive from Mazda, but why buy one if you don't need it.

I imagine the oil pump it self is the TII/FD pump right?

what's the difference between the T2 pump and the FD pump? volume? strength?

the fd pump has a slightly different case that lets the front pump rotor draw its own oil by itself. guts are the same

Ok, non oil related RE question.... Anyone know the timing marks on the RE? I wouldn't mind converting my FC to the Serp. System.

its the same as the fc, L is -5BTDC T is -20 BTDC
