so the intake ports on the secondary have big runners, and the port openings are similar to the street port templates the primaries have nice runners too, but the primary ports are smaller than the GSL-SE ones the exhaust ports have a "weird" insert, theres an acronym for it, and basically it directs the air a certain way out of the port. it doesnt flow quite as well as the fc/fd style, but it will idle better. I would REALLY like it if you could show me some pictures of the ports, it would help a lot. I won't be able to get home and take the engine part for another two weeks, and I would like to get as much planned as possible. It looks as though I am going to need to find a very small porting template that is just barely larger than stock to port the primary ports to a normal size. I was thinking about leaving the secondary ports alone, but then found out that the secondary ports do not effect idle as much as the primary and I wouldn't harm idle much if I ported it. But then again if they are basically already street ported for the big runners, I might just leave it alone. it doesnt have a diffuser like the na, its more like the whole port is at a different angle, and the sleeve is different.

i can take some pics later Well on a side note, a person on the evil forum just made 770+ rwhp on a stock 13b-re, no ports, just extra dowels. (If I remember right, I can't post links to other forums so you will have to search.) He only ported the primary port so that it matched the stock s5 t2 port. What is really amazing is, he has a solid idle, (haltech e11v2 with 4 x 1600) and he is using the stock eshaft. He used s5 t2 rotor housings. Seeing how I will only be in the 300 rwhp area, I don't think I will need to port the secondary ports. Now I just need to find a stock s5 primary port template. O.o haha So I am most likely going to follow suit and swap out the RE rotor housings with some s5 t2 housings. I won't have to worry about swapping just the housings than. I am really starting to get excited. |
