Can a rotory be balance for better performance?

how do you lighten the rotors?

Does a bridge Port shorten life even in normal use I.e <8500 rpm

Can the compression be bumbed up by filling in the chambers in the rotors?

what and where can i get racing bearings?

 

A bridge port does shorten the life of the engine. I think they are good for somewhere around 10k miles. Not very long.



Their are lighter rotors but I think they wont work with a 12a since they were froma 2nd gen.

I have seen guys on these forums with 40k mile bridge ported cars. 10k is more like a large peri port.

 

I personally think a peripheral port will last longer than a bridge in most circumstances.

 

The 83-85 12A rotors are fairly light.

 

The engine is balanced from factory for normal operation. If you plan of always being over 8k for long periods of times like at track then having it blue printed and balanced is wise.
