What are my options for apex seals on a fully prepped 12A bridge spinning upwards of 11k rpm? Id like to run nitrous as well, so Im looking for alternatives to carbon seals, but Im not paying $1800 for ceramic seals.

Doesn't Atkins Rotary make those in a 2 piece 3mm? If so that the way I would go.

Atkins seals arent known for liking nitrous, but Ill consider it if they can take the rpm's. Ive read before about stock stell seals starting to float at high rpm in 12A engines. I was wondering if anyone had experience with steel seals for the 12A(3mm) and a high rpm engine, say 11k rpm.

As far as them not liking Nitrous I disagree. Judge Ito has talked about having great success with them. Maybe he will chime in soon.

From what I remember, the atkins seals have a higher thermal expansion ratio, and need extra clearancing to not get seized in the grooves in high hp nitrous/turbo applications.

But Id really love to hear from Judge Ito on this.

12A full bridge, Atkins apex seals and 150shot nitrous in full bodied datsun 1200 10.54 in 1/4 mile. Made 90+ passes before freshening up the motor and leaving the line 10,800 on the rev limiter. This was a friends car in Orlando, FL loves the Atkins seals and before that he was using stock seals. It's all about the tune. Ceramics would be great if you can afford them.
