Yea I was also wonderimg since I did my exhaust ports. I now have to do the wastegate since I am on the twins.

Do you now what kind bit I should use on that? It's iron or something isn't it. I know it seems alot harder than the housings. Or are they the same material?

ok back. Exhaust porting is similar to intake porting. You want the exhaust port to open earlier and close later. Now remember two very important factors. Interference with the exhaust stroke if you open the port to early and overlap if you close the port to late. Other factors come into play. Is this engine being built for road race? drag racing? streetport? bridgeport? Peripheral port? or just a dyno queen looking for alot of horsepower and very little reliability. again I have to go. this time to get breakfast but Ill be back with some of my personal experiences with power, torque and exhaust porting.

G-damn, I just noticed your avitar, is that like a 10mm bridge? It's fucken huge with about 2-3mm of corner seal ride.. Wow!!! what kind of power did you get with that port? how did you port the exaust to match it?

We didn't dyno this engine yet. But it ran 9.6@137mph with some N20. estimated power according to E.T. and vehicle weight is 385rwhp to the flywheel 442.75 exhaust port is huge. :yum:

In my experiences, I don't like a huge exhaust port for "street application"" turbo or N/A engines. I keep in mind that the bigger the exhaust port is opened, the less support the apex seals has, in return sacrificing some reliability. I have seen some engines make a bit more torque with a large exhaust port, but when I compared reliability over exhaust ports I would sacrifice a little torque over reliability. I go huge for full race engines. But for street cars I don't. once you play so much with exhaust ports you could find a happy medium. The pictures of the exhaust ports that FD3Boost hosted are ideal for your street application, reliability and power. I would just go about 2.5mm's down a bit. Hope this helped a little.
