This had probably been covered before, but not in the autocross section that I can find. Does anyone have any experience autocrossing an FC TII with the Mustang GT wheels (17x8 with 30mm offset) and 225/45x17 Victoracers? My calcs show this set-up will stick out about 3/4" more than the stock tire/wheel combination. Is fender rubbing a problem with these in hard cornering?

For now, I'm using the stock suspension, except for AGX shocks/struts all around.

I'd be interested to know what others are using for tires/wheels in the BSP class, and what you think.

Good thought, since I probably can find a set of those at reasonable cost as well. I understand the Mustang GT wheels are about 17 lbs, although one source told me they are more like 20 lbs. What are the specs of the FD wheels? (weight, bolt pattern, size, offset) What size tires can I run with them on my TII?

Just realized the FD wheels would require very thick spacers to work. I don't want to use spacers in an autocross setup, but thanks for the idea.

just get the 10lbs bbs vert rims. They'll work better than heavy wide rims will.

the mustang wheels with the tire size you listed will just touch the fender lip while conrnering, but if you roll that lip it will be fine. that is on a lowered car though, with the stock springs the tire might go further into the fender with the stock springs. if you are in BSP why dont you get some springs? that way the car wont have so much roll as to rub the tires and you can maneuver the car better around the course.
