nice work jim

my first track event was @ midohio in 96...

instructors experience with me was not as complimentary as yours..

needless to say...i pushed hard and definitely found the limitations of a stock 3rd gen fairly quick much to the dismay of my instructor

:smirk:

Keep an eye on Chin Motorsports website they plan on adding a lot more tracks next year. I have heard Watkins Glen and some other Northern tracks. Its actually pretty cool that you get to drive your street car on the track.

AMP - I actually had 3 different instructors ride with me throughout the day. The second one asked me where I had previous track experiance I told him Autocross and Grand Torismo 3. He was suprised. He sais Autocrossers tend to drive very rough and that I was smooth. Made me proud. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png The last instructor yelled at me a few times over my hand position on the steering wheel. I have to work on keeping them at 10 and 2 or 9 and 3. It is harder to do than you think. At any moment your hands should be in those positions. You should be constantly shuffling your hands on the wheel. My heel / toe needs work too.

i prefer 3 and 9 oclock ...

and try not to exceed 1 and 11 when shuffling..

as far as heel toe or left foot braking for that matter... there is somewhat of a compromise for the 3rd genners..

pending on height .. youll need to determine a median between seating and steering distance..

and to add..

imo.. the best position for the seat is upright without recline

Got my car weighed today it was lighter than I expected. I was expecting 2900 lbs.

It weighs 2,695 lbs. - No driver

Corners were:

LF = 685

LR = 664

RF = 711

RR= 634

Front total = 1,349

Rear Total = 1,345

Almost perfect 50/50

I need to shift some weight to the right rear. I am going to put my battery there.
