I am looking to get an 8 point roll cage for my car....eventhough it doesn't have to do with drifting all together I'd like to know who got theirs custom made and who just ordered it pre fabbed. I saw your car Ranzo in the grip video which had a pretty badass roll cage also. Also how complicated it is to install...im guessing you pretty much have to take out the whole interior. I was lookng at a few different cars and saw that some bars curve in near the dash and some go through the dash. I dunno just looking for some options here. I don't feel very safe in the FD sometimes.

nah you don't have to take out the whole interior. It really depends on how the cage is made. You will have to remove the back seats and the upholstery in the trunk on a FD......there is no way around it. As far as the rest of it you can just cut the carpet to fit so you can bolt it in.

I need to look at what is out there for a FD. I would like a cage in my FD but I just don't think I am going to fit in there with a cage. If I was in the states I would probably get someone to custom build the cage and weld it in.

Why do you need to pull the interior and seats?

I had my seats in there a good time after my cage, but when I put in my 4 points I took them out.

several different configurations on cages, like my cage doesnt bolt up to the top of the rear strut bar, but a lot of them do

I wanted a weld in cage, not a bolt in one. I was thinking of getting it custom made, just wasn't sure of the tubing size I needed. I don't want some thick *** tubing though.

Sorry if I was wrong I am still a newby on the FD....LOL It just looks like you would need to take them out to get the bolts in the fender well, but if you had one that went to the strut tower bar that might be different........I dunno for sure because I never tried but most FD's I see have the back seats ripped out if they have a rollcage......

So where do the front bars go if you have a 7 point? I don't see me fitting in my car with the door panel and a rollbar.

alot of FDs with cages have the door panels cut or removed. I'm sure there are ways around that also however

I've seen the cages go through the dash on some of the 7s, but you lose the vents in the doors since the cage goes right in it's path.

Where did you find this Safety21 cage? I'm looking and can't find any sites about it. I am looking for a 4 or 6 point cage for a FC.
