I'm about to be hopefully beginning track racing. I understand for the SCCA you have to go to their school for training which is understandable. Seeing as how I've done very little road racing, what should I be prepared for when heading to this school? I went to the website, but it just has very very generic answers. Anyone here been through it?

what you got to look forward to lol,,,,,,,, bring a crew with you to prep your car cause you will be in the classroom to the car to drive then back to the class then back to the car and so on and so on and no time to set tire presures, make adjustments , fuel ect ect ect. i know i got to do the same thing myself this year, lucky for me i have my choice of 2 differnt ITS rx7s and a ITB rx7 to use plus they guys who own them will crew for me wich is odd cause im the one normaly doin the wrenchin lol so i dunno how good a driver will be at wrenchin but i guess ill find out.

as far as the car goes,,,,,,,,,,,, make damn sure its up to spec, no oil leaks , mechanicaly sound, good tires like hoosier R6 tires no check engine lights. make sure all safty equipment is current and working per design. prep the car weeks in advance so there is no suprizes on track day.

and one last thing,,,,,,,,, have fun and get ready to spend some money lol cause racin aint cheap by no means
