i've had my oil analized two times by blackstone labs after open tracking sessions.



the Royal Purple stuff didn't do great. - low viscocity.



mobil 1 did good.

redline is also good but expensive.

I just installed an oil cooler and i recommend it IF and only if you get serious (but i'm talking ls1 v8 so if you are rotary, you might have one already and its probably even more important). here's my oil cooler install on my rx7.



for brake fluid, you should put fresh stuff in right before the event (complete flush). i always use ATE super bllue.

maybe you won't need to flush on your first time, but you should do it after that because you'll beat on the car more and harder. but i still recommend flushing it even for your first time just to be safe.

i'm hard on the car and i need new pads after 2-3 days on the track. i buy cheap rotors and swap them out maybe 5 events; look for cracks before you race and don't race if you have crack on the rotors.



i have kaaz diff so i'm using kaaz diff fluid, but you can use any diff fluid and it doesn't have to be synthetic. i have different tranny than you and i use GM synchromesh. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif

i run Amsoil in the rear diff and also in the engine. I run a 50/50 mix of Amsoil and Redline in the tranny. Ate Superblue for the brakes... full flush EVERYTIME.... sometimes on both days of the track events in the AM. I recommend that you get an oil catch can also... depending on how aggressive you are.... you will be losing oil thru the filler neck.





PS.... DO NOT use the parking brake at the track when you park the car. The pads will fuse to the rear rotors if they are applied to them when they are very hot. just make sure the oils (engine/tranny/diff) are reasonably fresh (w/in the last year is preferable). you don't need special brake fluid for your first time out there - just make sure its been changed recently (6 months or sooner) and that your brakes are bled and have enough pad material on there.



make sure you got decent tires. if they are dry rotted, fuggetaboutit. get some kumho MX. they are great. get an alignment too. its always a good idea to get an alignment after new tires.



considering its your first time out there, you won't be ayrton senna or mario andreti. but you will learn a lot!
