Aint nothing reliable about 9's. You of all people should know that by now.

That's mighty ambitious. I'm surprised I haven't broken my car yet, and I only just got into the 13's.

TYSON 02-28-2005 09:01 AM

mid to low 12s. Haven't finished putting the motor together yet, so that might be way ambitious if I don't make the power! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

4.77 gears should be in the mail today! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif

I use reliable in a very loose way.

That was the whole point of doing twin turbos, they will flow tons of air at low boost, the reason for buying the trans, etc...

Hell if it will go out and run 10's i will be happy...

tcb100 02-28-2005 06:29 PM

It better run 10s! Let's not get too humble here. That car ought to be a beast and a half.

By when are you actually going to put rubber on the track? Be sure to let us know when you will grace 75-80 so we can check it out.

Don't get me wrong Bobby. I am not trying to say how fast the car will or wont be or anything. I just know that 9 second cars break parts often. I am sure that any one with a 9 second car would agree, but hey there is a first for everything. Good luck, you have your work cut out for you.

Yeah, I'm not dumb.

Breaking things is part of the game with drag racing.

Will it run a 9? i donno yet. Will it run consistantly? i donno. Do I have the skill to pilot the thing? i guess we will just have to wait and see what it does.

Tom, it all depends on when the trans gets in. They have been giving me the run around for a month now on when they are going to assemble/ship the thing. Pretty damn annoying...

Trust me, you will know when she is complete https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

mid 12s on street tires..

1988RedT2 03-03-2005 09:53 AM

I'd settle for high 12's, but I'm running BFG Drag T/A's.

Oh, I am shooting for low 11's. I don't have alot of experience with launching but i got my feet wet last year. I hope to get a better 60' this year. Maybe, hopefully I can get some more rotary drivers down to MIR for midnight madness. Hint hint Bobby and Tom.

1988RedT2 03-04-2005 08:18 AM

Hmmmm. I hear the track is open this Sunday. I may have to go out there for a few runs. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif

Poop! I didn't get to run. I needed to add a little fuel in the midrange, but I couldn't get the POS 486 laptop to talk to the Haltech. Stupid dead battery, lost CMOS settings, crazy setup utility, X%&##@****!

Naturally, once I got it back inside and went through it in a logical manner, I figured it out, but I got mighty close to dropkicking that POS!

Ah, well. The season is young....

rfreeman27 03-08-2005 12:37 PM

It snowed today

gah, I just need to put the motor together and install the TEC III...then i am in buisnes.

Sorry, haven't checked this thread in a while.

Don't know where Budds Creek is. We run at Richmond Dragway.
