This time they are using the new Mazda3. I wish it would have been the RX-8 but oh well. I guess I will brush up me FWD techniques in my Mini.

Any Florida people that want to hook up let me know. Also, Last year the Mazda Rotary Car Club of Florida (MRCCFL) negotiated a VIP day on the friday before the event for club members. You might want to join now.

BTW - Looks like we are getting 2 weekends this time. One in Miami another in St. Pete. Woo woo!!

My check-in in St. Pete is 10 a.m. I'm so excited! (considering I've never been on a track, or had any driver training)

MAZDA 3 Specs:

165HP

155TQ

2800 lbs

Mini CooperS

163HP

153tq

3461 lbs

My Mini feels like its nibmle and fast. I am wondering how nice the Mazda3 is gonna handle and accelerate?

BTW- I will be wearing my No Pistons T-Shirt at both venues if you see me say hi!!

is the mazda3 a 1.6 litre engine? what is the displacement on your minicopper?

Does the mazda3 have a lsd? the miniS has one right?

Don't you have the JCWS kit? Stop lying you have 200 hp

Mazda3 has a 2.3 litre.

Mini cooper does not have LSD I wish it did. I autocrossed it and lack of lsd limits the car greatly.

I do not know if the 3 has LSD or not let me look - it does not mention it in the specs. Hmmmm... I hope it has it it will make for a much more fun car to drive.

My Mini Cooper USED to have 163 HP but NOW has 200 with the works kit added on. I drove it for 3 weeks without the works kit and it was quick and nimble now it feels fast and nimble.

You know, as you start winding through 3rd and your approaching triple digits at an alarming rate. Thats pretty fast in my book.
