It could have been much worse, drifting, and learning how to, should only be done in a controlled enviornment, dumbass! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif |

Thats not as bad as what happened before. I was lucky the other times because I didn't actually wreck but this time I guess my luck ran out. Anyways i was driving to school and decided to practicing my drifting. The air was slightly damp and the roads were barely moist from a light drizzle earlier that night perfect for kicking the rear end out. I was coming on this really wide lefthand turn and tried a power over but i gave the car too much throttle and spun around. Except, there were two garbage men at the corner house collecting garbage... Here's where it gets interesting. When i spun out the rear end of my car hit the garbage can they were about to pick up!!! HAHA so i was thinking "oh man if they catch me i'm screwed" So i revved my car up to 6k rpms and did a huge burnout in front of them and ran away LMAO!!! Eh, either way they're probably laughing at me now or something. |

Cops bust people that drive imports cause cops are dicks half the time and im not just saying that to say it, it is most often true cause they are power trip bastards. Besides Dramon didnt do anything wrong so Lighten up i dont see why people freak out when anyone post a story about them trying to drift. He was somewhere where there was no traffic and besides you have to make mistakes to learn from them.
how do you know about cops and how do you know that he didnt do anything wrong? you turned 16 less than a month ago. do you even have a car? p.s. its illegal to not be in control of your car on a public rd so theres at least one offense |
He claims that that there was no traffic so the only person he endangered was himself. And i understand and accept the risks of drifting and being the IGNORANT 16 year old i am plan on atleast giving it a try.

that doesnt mean he wouldnt get a ticket for it if his car was broken and the cops showed up |
yeah practicing on the street is a horrible idea......there are only a few people i am comfortable riding with who do it on the street!
|
It's really not that hard, besides everyone knows that the FC can handle amazing and I would hardly worry about hitting other cars.
Any of you guys ever watch Initial D? Well, thats what me and my friends basically do, we go out at night and find curvy roads and have drift battles so i'm pretty sure I know how to handle myself on the street well enough. |

you said also that you almost hit the garbage men, then did a 6k drop in there faces. what is wrong with you?
Yes cops are gonna be dicks.. If you give them a reason. and you doing that in front of other people who may report your "ricer" car to the cops, and guess what, everyone in your area that has an import car will eventually pay the price for what you have started. Because you think that you can handle yourself well enough doesnt give you the right to endanger other people. I am a big fan of drifting, i drift, almost daily.. but never around other cars or other people. i live way in the woods and there is no traffic around me. I have been drifting for quite some time. I drift my 240 my fc and hopefully my ae86 that i will be picking up this weekend. but becuase i "think" that i can handle myself, even after years of practice doesnt mean that that new patch of gravel that washed out in the road during that last rain. Is going to let me belive that i am invinsible for long. and trust me, every once in a while i screw up. and my cars show it. -Chris |

You screw up because you don't have my drifting skillz. |

Am I an irresponsible driver?
|
That seems like a question you should ask yourself.
|
driving irresponsibly has nothing to do with imports, domestics have been killing people with their cars ever since there was more than 1 on the road.
I live in florida now, the land of irresponsible driving. And trust me, it doesn't take a fast car to drive like a total jackass. As a matter of fact, any s.u.v. will work just fine. |
I wonder if similar discussions with complete ******* idiots like this guys come up in Japan. I mean the topics with complete noobs who think they know what drifting is, go do it on the street, etc... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif I hope I never share the road with this guy.
Alright, after saying that, practicing drifting at the track. The street is the worst place, especially at night on curvy roads. If you actually watch Initial D, you must have skipped the one where the dude hits the guard rail and goes to the hospital. You'll learn faster at the track anyway, less fear of dying, and way more experienced there to help you out. |

Just because you think you have "mad skillz" doesnt mean you wont wreck. Even on back roads at night there is still a chance of another car, 2 summers ago when i still went to the local street races, the cops showed and some one in an eclipse went speeding away on this back road than almost never has cars, lost it around a corner and hit a minivan. Bolth in the car died and it screwed up the driver of the mini van.
Im not saying drifting on the street is bad, ive done it my self, im just trying to say you cant controll other drivers and animals that wander onto the road. and if ur spinnig leaving a corner at 20 or on a barely moist road, you need some more practice off the road. |
One night over here in Chicago it was all raniy and really slick, I mean perfect for some drifting. Normally I'll get it a little sideways after 2-3 in the morning and only where I have some room to runoff. But this night was different. Happened at about 11pm or so. I didn't really do it intentionally but it happened anyway when I was turning. I felt it go so gave it a little more juice to keep it sustained. well about halfway through it I look over and notice a cop sitting in the turning lane. I kept going on and continued down the road. The cop never followed.

This is great https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif
The guy writes about how he crashes at 20mph, then goes on to say he's a perfectly safe driver and no one can keep up with his mad skillz. I hope the person you eventually kill is related to you, or less than 5. That'll learn ya. |
initial D rocks! haha just felt like saying that since i watch the anime series myself https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png and about the guy that ends up in the hospital if ur talking about the crash that happens in episode #2 or #3 only reason why he crashed was cuz he was all frustrated and pissed at himself... so while he was driving he was all angry and made a rash decision and didnt drive as cautiously as he usually does on mt. akina. also, if ur talking about the other guy that ends up in the hospital it was in episode #14 where takumi's friend crashed only because guy behind him driving red EG6 bumped him and made him crash into guardrail... so yea |
I'm not criticizing, but of all the things that were made into an anime, anything pertaining to cars I wouldn't have predicted.
|
I cant say I dont condone it b/c I do it. Heck it's catching on in this country like wildfire. Personally as long as you learn in a big empty parking lot and do it in the open street like youve got a brain. It will be too wide spread to stop in a year or so.
We as Americans love how the Japanese drive, they are raised to drive 110% where as we are lucky to get any good training at all before our 16yr olds are let out on the street. A big difference is that they have to start out with small underpowered sports cars and move on to faster ones. My child will not get anything fast when hes ready for a car. He'll buy his first one with his money and it will only be what I let him get. Insurance companys are nuts letting these kids drive exotic hot rods. Get some expierence with something slow and move up. You'll be a better driver for it. |
"Yeah, ok no. You screw up because you don't have my drifting skillz. "
Gee, that's pretty damned intelligent. NOW I understand why G2G thinks you're a moron. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif Along those lines, how in the fu(k do you spin a car TWICE going 20MPH out of a turn? Unless of course, you "forgot" to take your foot off the gas. With your mad skilzz, it must have been a conspiracy against you that caused you to lose control, right? Yeah, that's it! Bleah. |
you dont know **** about me, you guys are just ******* jealous because i have a turbo and you dont
|
For real man, you guys don't know dramon like I know dramon.
That's not at all if you're wondering. |
haha people are taking dramon seriously.
|
