Exactly...

Sorry to hear about this anyway hope you learned from it

g_dripht-alex 02-22-2004 03:11 PM

you need to dial in your camber.

i cant here this Enough

TheAntiChrice 02-22-2004 04:00 PM

Let me guess.. you went around the corner and nailed the throttle?

Leetheslacker 02-22-2004 05:24 PM

Positive camber, its the new bandwagon.

rfreeman27 02-22-2004 05:36 PM

He jsut cant drive. there is no way that you can spin that bad at 20mph

Aurosting 02-24-2004 05:26 PM

i revisite the area were it happened .....i found out that there was dirt on the road and i dint see it

Aurosting 02-24-2004 05:33 PM

20 mph was the speed i was going before i hit the gas

yesterday i bought the part to fix it , i needed a new arm , the hub that holed the tire, a new cv arm and this little bar that stabilizes the hub

all for 230

i need to fix the toe and camber and balance the tire

Seppuku 02-24-2004 05:45 PM

Dirt wouldn’t be that bad to keep control on since you were already out of your drift. I don't see how you could have lost control if you are "good" enough to think you can drift on public roads where you could potentially hurt someone else. Hopefully lesson learned

Aurosting 02-24-2004 05:51 PM

lol........... i was not really traing to drift .......it just happened ....i guess i press the gas too much

Shane.Trammell 02-24-2004 05:55 PM

thats what you get for having a diff kind of wheels on the back, or are those just your "drag tires?" that things an auto too isnt it?

Aurosting 02-24-2004 06:03 PM

the tires on the back are my drag tire ....i had them on, because the night before i went to the track ....i dint wana use my rims because the 17' tire cost alot

Shane.Trammell 02-24-2004 06:12 PM

thats what i thought, that thing does look pretty fast. so it is an automatic?

Aurosting 02-24-2004 10:01 PM

its manual

vosko 02-24-2004 10:29 PM

well for drift remember less traction in back, more in front

Not really.

Maybe for beginners who cant afford to replace tires and use cheap junkyard ones?

you need good tires in the front no matter what.

well good tires are needed but less traction in rear then front is a must.

good tires with lower tire pressure up front and more in the rear to induce drifts

better https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif

g_dripht-alex 02-25-2004 10:46 PM

that picture is from a DGtrials event first off and thats not him i know the kid driving.

rx7_re 02-27-2004 10:59 PM

You need good tires in the back for consistency, cheapos dont really offer much of that.

rmaiersg 03-01-2004 09:17 AM

he is a drifter and he was giving me some tips on drifting

Sounds to me like you were connotating something. He didn't atleast inspire you?

treceb 03-01-2004 01:09 PM

i dunno, hitting full boost while at the end of a turn is not fun.

cymfc3s 03-12-2004 11:49 AM

Don't worry you will crash plenty more. Can not remeber how many wheels and axles I bent drifting on street and free way on ramps, but luckly never crashed into cars or bad enough that I could not limp home.

blueskaterboy 04-04-2004 12:43 PM

you need good traction in the back for control

rfreeman27 04-04-2004 01:43 PM

There is still NO WAY you can do 2 360's going only 20mph.

Unless you just did donuts off the road...

rx7_re 04-04-2004 06:10 PM

Unless he kept his right foot planted the whole time.
