Well SuperNow offers two styles an Upper and Super angle kit, both available in street and race trims. If you want more steering angle you want the Super angle kit, for the FC it gives 7 degrees more. Very similar to the one pictured above. The Upper angle is bascially just replacement tie rod ends with a ring spacers that gives vey minimal angle. Send me an email at seeltuned@aol.com |
kinda off topic, but has anyone messed with shortening spindles?
i was going to take some measurements and go get/make some spacers, but for 45* steering angle im just gonna go straight to hacking spindles i think has anyone done this before and any advice on it? |
there is a post on just that on ziptied.com just search spindle
|
haha.
my penis isnt big enough for me to post on ziptied, but ill browse the suspension forum |
eh just read that thread again, im more interested in how the **** the japanese guys are getting like 60* on their fc's.
ill probably **** with it tuesday night and eyeball it like i did on my 240, it has about 70+* angle with a stock rack, well see if i can get 50+ outta the FC on a stock rack with low offset wheels. was just hoping to find some info to save me some time, guess ill just have to figure it out. one thing i did learn on the 240 is check the balljoint on the LCA in relation to the inner tierod pivot point at full lock to not have bind. other than that its just wheel/tire fitment ill have to figure out. so much for being a lazy ass. |

Don't have them yet, the one pictured are the Miata tie rods. I just thought I would share with you guys what we are working on, and to see what interest there is for the RX7s. |

Here are two photos comparing the oem and superangle tie rods, the others did not turnout right. We achieved a 9 degree increase in steering angle!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif

Here is the latest update: (from http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.ph...2#post7698222)
Alright here is the deal on the Manual racks for the FC3S, basically I have recieved the notion of having the angle the same from side to side. With that said, I do not like to leave guys high and drive (out), tentativly, we will no longer offer the superangle tie rods for the manual rack. So I would like to conduct a new list of those still interested in tie rods with adjusted built-in spacers to suit maximum equal travel per side; or we can offer slip on spacers that will allow for maximum equal travel from side to side using your current oem inner tie rods (for manual rack only). OR if you are looking for maximum angle (which is found in the power racks) then you would be best adviced to swap-in or retain the power rack (and depower at you own discretion ). If choosing that method the rack of choice is the 17.4:1, it would be the closet to the manual racks (or start lifting) **If there is interest for the new manual rack inner tie rods they will offer the same increase as the power, HOWEVER, there will be a press on bushing to reduce the travel to equal length per side. This will allow the end user to either have unequal length (using rack as is with drivers side having more angle), OR custom machine more gear on rack (drivers side end) to achieve equal angle per side (same maximum angle as power racks). |
The Superangle tie rods are now shipping!! They are available for the FC (power racks only) FD (fine and coarse thread). The introductory GB pricing is $130 shipped/set.
I will add some photos shortly. |
why do you need the tie rods for? im drifting a 86 NA and well i think i kinda understand the use of the angle tie rods. any advice?

Yea it started it about mid Sept, we have been slowly trying to correct the situation with the server. |

Sorry I don't visit this site often, I will be sending you an email here shortly. BTW I handle the Secret Element Superangle tie rods and the Super*Now Tie rod ends. I don't carry or deal with GP-sports, why go to the middle man if you can go directly to their source for their kits, ie Super*Now. |
hey gusy, have been drifting for a couple years now. mostly 240sx's. but i now have an FC and am drifting it. but the one thing i noticed is that the steering angle is the suxors on here!!! so i am looking for some tie rod spacers. i decided to go with the GP Sports over the super now and i was wondering if anyone could give some feed back on them? o also plan on redusing the lock to lock turning to 180 each way...if anyone has done that before i would like input there too |
