drifting question
#2
tires make a pretty big difference when it comes to drifting.
like always, your front tires are most important, you want to keep grip in the front, so you dont understeer when you initiate a drift.
i've found my favorite tire to use is the hankook ventus rs2, they are hankooks response to the azenis rt615's, they're about 30-40$ cheaper on edgeracing.com and they're badass autocross/drifting tires
if you got the money go crazy and get azenis why not. wonderful tire to use.
if your somewhat cheap get hankook k106 radials i've been finding them for about 60$ a tire here and there.
but as for the rears, it really doesn't matter, i never bother buying tires for my rear, no point in buying new tires for alot, then wasting them.
hunt down your closest pep boys, firestone, goodyear etc, look in their trash, thats what i do.
i have about 50 tires in my backyard, mostly performance tires, just from looking around, you'd be surprised the crap people throw away. someone had potenzas on all four tires, one tire was flat because the sidewall blew out and they junked all 4, so i got 3 barely used potenzas for nothing.
so when it comes down to tires it basically boils down to this.
front- a decent performance tire with good tread
rear - doesn't matter one bit.
hope this has been helpful
