If you are gonna turn circles in a parking lot you might get away with a stock diff for a while but if you want to DRIFT then you will need a LSD at least a 1.5 way. You can drift of stock suspension it just sucks and the car rolls around like crazy. It is not fun or pretty but can be "done". If you are gonna "race" or drift it would be better to build the car right from the ground up rather than just throwing parts at it.

If you are just playing around then it really don't matter. Get a real Diff otherwise you cant even talk about drifting. This is the advice of the infamouse Keichii. so quit making up stuff and get a diff and some suspension and a bucket seat.

If that's your car in your sig, you should have a clutch type LSD stock.

Any stock car can do it, however it will be more challenging the more stock your car is.
Actually, the more stock the car is, the easier it is.

Skinnier tires break-away more progressively.

Stock suspensions break-away more progressively.

The tighter you make everything, the higher the stick, but it breaks away a lot more abruptly.

Well, it's just my personal preference then. I'm just not a big fan of the tire rubbing against the fender while I'm trying to maintain a slide.

this thread has been a good read. i think Ranzo has some really good first hand knowledge that should be listened to but like someone said earlier in the thread, each drift setup is different.

He has a red S4 TII in his signature. I was saying that it should already have an LSD.

Edit- NM, it looks like a S5. The front bumper looked like a S4 at first. Still should have an LSD.

It's pretty easy to tell whether it's a LSD - just turn one wheel and have someone try and turn the other wheel in the opposite direction, if it's a LSD then it should be quite hard to do. There are other methods, but this is the simplest and most effective.
